Imja Tse (Island peak), 6160m.
Climbing Island Peak is a spectacular extension to a
fabulous adventure into the Everest region. At 6160
meters Island Peak (now known in Nepal as Imja Tse)
is not among the Himalayan giants, but nevertheless
provides an exhilarating mountaineering experience to
the novice and expert alike. No technical mountaineering
experience is necessary to climb Island Peak, simply
a high level of fitness the desire to push your limits.
This trip is the same as the ‘Everest’ treks
till your entrance to the Chhukung valley. Either you
can take air service from Katmandu to Lukla or drive
to Jiri 184 km. Eastward of Katmandu and commence trek
to Lukla and then continue up past Namche Bazaar, Tengboche,
Dingboche, Imja Glacier to the Base camp of Imja Tse
or Island peak. Three days are set aside for the ascent
of Imja Tse and follow the same route back to Katmandu
as in the ‘Everest’ trek. If you take one-way
flight to Lukla, the whole trip will cover within 23
days and 16 days is enough if both way flights are taken.
This trip offers you not only enchanting views of Mt,
Everest (8848m.) Lhotse (8516m) Amadablam (6856m.) and
numerous others peaks; draws your attention towards
monasteries and traditional Sherpa villages. Such a
massive glance of the Himalayan peaks can create in
you a pleasant wave of internal felicity.

Day 02: Prepared permit & trekking
Day 03: Flight to Lukla & trek to Phakding
Day 04: Namche rest for acclimatization
Day 05: Namche rest for acclimatization
Day 06: Namche - Thyanboche
Day 07: Pheriche - Lobuche
Day 08: Thyangboche - Pheriche
Day 09: Pheriche - Lobuche
Day 10: Lobuche - Kalapathar - Back to Lobuche
Day 11: Lobuche - Dingboche
Day 12: Dingboche - Chukung
Day 13: Chukung - Island Peak
Day 14: Island BC - High
Day 15: High Camp - Summit & back to BC
Day 16: BC - Pangboche
Day 17: Pangboche - Namche
Day 18: Namche - Phakding/Manjo
Day 19: Phakding - Lukla.
Day 20: fly Lukla - Kathmandu
Day 21: Kathmandu
Day 22: Final Departure.
The Island Peak Permit Cost US$ 350 only for 1-4 (Person
-Group).
and Every climbing group have to Deposit US$ 250 as
a Garbage Deposit in NMA- kathmandu which refundable
after the trip.
